Android Canary 2606 greatly expands Dynamic Color theming on Pixel 

Google today rolled out Android Canary 2606, with this preview build introducing expanded Dynamic Color theming options on Pixel devices.

ZP11.260515.009 with the May 2026 security patch is available for the Pixel 10a, Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel 9a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel 8a, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7, Pixel 6a, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet.

As always, “Canary builds are highly experimental and are NOT recommended for general use.”

Dynamic Color expansion

Go to Wallpaper & style and then Colors to find the updated options. The paint palette icon in the top-right corner lets you access the “Select a color” slider to choose the system accent after previously being limited to preset options.

Back on the main page, tapping the pencil icon below lets you choose between Neural, Soft, Bright, and Bold.

The last Android Canary build introduced increased blur across the system UI that was then added to Android 17 QPR1 Beta 3. Hopefully, there’s a similarly fast turnaround time.
